The task was to make a promotional package which meant that we could do a digipak, a magazine poster and also a music promo. These all work well together and you can see the clear synergetic link between all three of these. We want to promote the artist so when we decided what main products (music promo) we would do, we then had to decided what would be best to do for the ancillary task, we wanted them to work together and that meant that by them working together they would be easily recognised- this is the synergy between them.
The repetition of the colour between the 3 products enables you to see that this is the synergy that is connecting the music promo, magazine advert and digipak.
Using the paint also tied in with the song Ink Settles in, we used paint as a representation of the ink, and this would be used by covering our actress as though it was settling into her skin. It was infectious because it is spreading all over her and also all over the products.
Another work used for the collaboration of these products in synergy. Synergy is where you combined (as we have) the products together.
To show the music promo JEM Productions has decided that we would use a combination of New Media and also Traditional Media to exhibit and promote the music promo. For the new media exhibit and promotion the music promo has been put on youtube for the viewing of the public to view. At the moment the views stand at 41 views and 1 thumbs up. This I feel is very good for a music video at this stage.
When it came to planning the main product and also planning the ancillary tasks I wanted the audiences to realise the clear link between these products. When I sat down to plan all of these, I wanted to focus on the main product first which was the music video. After sitting and planning out that I then went on to look at what key links I could take from the main product, to then decided what I wanted to do for the ancillary task and also how it can involve the music video and also to help promote the artist.
